I giggled as my eyes scanned the new comment on my Facebook page, “You are such a calm & peaceful person… So inspiring!!”\u00a0 If only they knew…<\/em><\/p>\n

How often we brave the world, full of\u00a0smiles and glow,\u00a0a fa\u00e7ade covering the reality of what lies within.<\/p>\n

This quest of mine to seek the still <\/em>was not born out of calm or peace, wisdom or insight. It was\u00a0born out of a\u00a0desperate need to have what I could not grasp.\u00a0 In a lifetime of seeking,\u00a0striving, and proving, I have won\u00a0the awards, earned the perfect scores, and worn the lovely masks.\u00a0 I’ve also turned to drink for escape, slipped into the darkness of depression, and lain awake in the cycle of anxiety.\u00a0 Seeking the still, I am.<\/p>\n

I recently read a quote by Angela Thomas in her book Stronger<\/em>\u00a0that sums it up, I’m just a human being whose life keeps proving how much I need a Savior.<\/em><\/p>\n

At the beginning of this 31 day journey, let’s be\u00a0perfectly honest about who we are, and what we’re seeking.\u00a0 I have nothing to offer\u00a0from my own reason or strength.\u00a0\u00a0The meaning of grace is an undeserved<\/em> gift.\u00a0\u00a0Not earned.\u00a0 At all.\u00a0\u00a0When I chose Gracefully<\/em> for the title of this series, I was\u00a0not referring to any\u00a0beauty that lies within you or me.\u00a0 Gracefully <\/em>is reminder\u00a0that our greatest need for still, that place where\u00a0we can finally\u00a0be free,\u00a0is completely unattainable on our own.\u00a0 It is underserved.\u00a0 It is\u00a0a gift.\u00a0 But it is there for\u00a0you and for me.<\/p>\n

<\/a>In this\u00a031 day series<\/a>,\u00a0\u00a0we’ll flit and flutter around the topic of
\nseeking the still within the boundaries of God’s grace.\u00a0 I’m open to the
