Happy Valentine’s Day!\u00a0 It may be a made-up holiday, but Valentine’s Day is a good reminder that showing love is important.\u00a0 There have been three deaths just recently that have made me intensely aware of the fleeting nature of our lives.\u00a0 One spirited, dearly beloved mother passing of cancer in her early 50s.\u00a0 A high school friend, mother of an 8-year-old boy, dying suddenly at the age of 34.\u00a0 A 24-year-old mother, dead in a tragic car accident, leaving her young daughter in intensive care.\u00a0 It doesn’t make any sense.\u00a0 Lives cut short.\u00a0 Changed for ever.\u00a0 In an instant.<\/p>\n

I bet their loved ones wish they could tell them they loved them\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 just\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 one\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 more\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 time….<\/i><\/p>\n

So, today I take stock of all that is precious to me.\u00a0 Don’t wait for one day of the year to tell your loved ones what they mean to you.\u00a0 You never know when it will be the last time.<\/p>\n

Make a list.\u00a0 Make a phone call.\u00a0 Send an email.\u00a0 Write on a wall.\u00a0 Tell the people in your life why you love them today.\u00a0 Many can’t, but you can. Tell them today and tomorrow and the next day.\u00a0 Your words of love may be the greatest gift you can give.\u00a0 Just a few of the many reasons I love Him…<\/p>\n

  1. He warms up my side of the bed for me. Every night. Without fail.<\/li>\n
  2. The way he teared up for weeks after Audrey was born…just talking about her.<\/li>\n
  3. He never complains about “silly time” with the girls.\u00a0 Even after a long day.<\/li>\n
  4. He chose me.<\/li>\n
