It’s been a weekend of laughter and tears. Of resting and playing. Of grief and joy.<\/p>\n

Reminiscing\u00a0with dear\u00a0friends whose faces we\u00a0missed for\u00a0years.<\/p>\n

Sitting\u00a0with Justin\u00a0to tell\u00a0our girls their dearly loved Misty would go\u00a0to\u00a0the vet\u00a0and not come home.\u00a0Holding them as they said goodbye, comforting them as they rumbled with grief.<\/p>\n

Singing age-old hymns with voices raised, souls soaring, and hearts full. Pumpkins carved and costumes donned. Toasting\u00a0seeds and raking leaves.<\/p>\n

So much living and even dying in the span of three small days.<\/p>\n

And I was present.<\/p>\n

I laughed till tears spilled over. I cried and mourned. I left the to-do list at the door and surrendered to live the\u00a0moments. This is a change in me.<\/p>\n

For so many years,\u00a0I lived life as\u00a0an emergency. Rushing and running, and it almost killed my soul. I know now that it\u00a0takes more\u00a0courage to stop and listen. It requires attention to set\u00a0emotions free. Curiosity is a\u00a0window into the eyes of a child, and time and task must be\u00a0released for me to\u00a0receive.<\/p>\n

A Seeking The Still manifesto is in the making with these three days a taste of what could be. My life is an embrace, not an emergency, and I am grateful for the reminder to let\u00a0it to be so.<\/p>\n

\"31days\"<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

This series is not a tidy story of a fairy tale life. \u00a0It is\u00a0messy and truthful. \u00a0For 31 days, I will share pieces\u00a0of my journey, practical coping techniques for dealing with anxiety, spiritual insights,\u00a0emotional struggles, and a whole lot of other. \u00a0I will likely\u00a0\u00a0jump from here to there as the Spirit leads. \u00a0I invite you along\u00a0as\u00a0I share\u00a0my experience, my strength, and my hope.
